(HOLLYWOOD, CA) 9/2/25 - PURSUED is an electrifying thriller from acclaimed director best known for The Kindred, Jeffrey Obrow, features a stellar cast that includes Madison Lawlor, Molly Ringwald, Sam Trammell, Joel Courtney, Miesha Tate, the late Paul Sorvino, Taylor Blackwell, Wyntergrace Williams, and Angus MacFadyen. Set to premiere on October 10, 2025, the film explores a 17-year-old girl in a small town who uncovers a shocking crime in the dark shadows of social media, she takes matters into her own hands but finds herself pursued by a ruthless killer. The film is being distributed through a deal with Indie Rights Movies on Prime Video available to rent or buy, followed by Google Play and YouTube.

The thriller was produced under the Leidel Obrow Filmed Entertainment Banner, with Jeffrey Obrow - Writer, Director, Producer and Peter Leidel as Producer. Ben Peyser as Director of Photography, Max Blomgren & John Jae Lee as the film's Composers (with Theme Music by Christopher Young), Jodi Ginnever as Production Designer, and Joanna David as Costume Designer.

 

The terrifying tale focuses on LARK (17) (Madison Lawlor), an idealistic righter of wrongs, who is still guilt-ridden by the death of her father a few years earlier. When she stumbles upon a threatening exchange in an online chat forum, she connects it to the brutal murder of a young woman. With strong suspicions but little evidence, Lark decides that the only way to draw the violent killer out is to make personal contact with him online using a false identity. But what starts out as a simple, clever strategy from the safe distance of social media ends in unforeseen, terrifying complications, leading to the unmasking of her identity by the killer. Now, with the help of some unlikely allies, Lark is forced to take matters into her own hands... before becoming the next victim of the ruthless killer.
